Flood Relief Support
The Centre for Child and Adolescent Wellbeing stepped up to aid the community residing near the Signature Bridge, profoundly affected by the floods in the Yamuna River. Upon assessing the dire needs on July 15th, 2023, the trainee social workers initiated a commendable relief effort. Spearheading a clothing and essential items donation drive within the Department of Social Work, they swiftly gathered resources to alleviate the suffering. Not stopping there, recognizing the vulnerability of newborns to mosquito-borne diseases amidst the crisis, the CCAW procured and distributed 120 mosquito nets and sanitary napkin on July 20th, 2023, ensuring the protection and wellbeing of the youngest members of the community. This concerted effort not only provided immediate relief but also showcased the compassionate and proactive approach of the Centre towards addressing community needs during times of adversity.
