I am truly proud to announce that CCAW, under the esteemed leadership of Honorary Director Dr. Shashi Rani Dev, has achieved remarkable success over the past two years. Dr. Dev, along with dedicated social work trainees from the 4th and 2nd Semesters of 2023-2024, has actively engaged with children from marginalized communities. Over the last two years, CCAW has orchestrated a series of activities aimed at fostering the growth and development of these children. As of now, more than 150 children from neighboring communities and schools have been enrolled in the center's activities and programs. The CCAW team has exhibited exceptional dedication and capability in effecting positive change within society. Throughout year the CCAW is engaging children for their overall growth and development. The parents and teachers of these children are also participating in CCAW activities. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Shashi Rani Dev and her team, and I wish them continued success in their future endeavors.

Associate Professor, Department of Social Work,

It gives me immense pleasure and a sense of accomplishment to finally announce the Centre for Child and Adolescent Wellbeing (CCAW) revival. Centre for Child and Adolescent Wellbeing (CCAW), earlier known as the Child Guidance Centre is a demonstration project by the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi. It was instituted in 1971 as the Child Guidance Centre, later known as the Centre for Child and Adolescent Wellbeing (CCAW). Earlier the center provided diagnostic, treatment, and referral services to children, adolescents, and their family members. However due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the center had to curtail its services. In the year 2022, the center revived its outreach activities and services. For the past two years, center focused on revival of its activities, infrastructural arrangements, registration of children (with the consent of parents and school authorities), growth & development of children, outreach activities in communities, networking and alliances with nearby schools and open communities. The trainees/interns placed at CCAW for their concurrent fieldwork utilizes the opportunities provided at CCAW to work with children for their growth and development issues. The continuous support of Prof Sanjoy Roy, Head Department of Social Work keeps on motivating the team of CCAW, the support extended by him and other faculty members shows their commitment towards the field action project of the department.
