Tech Mahindra Foundation

 

CCAW organized a session in collaboration with the Tech Mahindra Foundation at Timarpur Indira Basti for the youth seeking employment opportunities in the medical sector from the Indira Basti community, to present various job opportunities in healthcare upon completion of short-term skill development courses such as Medical Laboratory Technology, X-Ray  Technology, Dialysis Technician, Emergency Care Assistant, Operation Theatre Technician, Hospital Front Office & Billing Executing, General Duty Assistant, Hospital Hygiene Assistant, Home Health Aide, Nursing Care, ICU Technician, General Nursing and Midwifery Assistant, and Medical Sales Representative training, offered at almost no cost to interested individuals. The foundation pledged 100% placement assistance to those who enrolled. The CCAW facilitated this collaboration directly between the Tech Mahindra Foundation and the community members

 

 

 

 

HLL Lifecare Limited

CCAW collaborated with HLL (HLL Lifecare Limited, a PSU based in Kerala) and distributed sanitary pads to women to provide them an economical alternative for expensive menstrual products. They also talked about the possibility of starting an outlet for HLL sanitary pads for the community by themselves. This would also open for them more entrepreneurial opportunities.

 

 

 

 

 

Delhi Tuberculosis Association

Social work trainees at SKV Timarpur, in collaboration with the Delhi Tuberculosis Association, recently conducted an awareness session on health and tuberculosis. This informative event highlighted key health concerns affecting children and underscored the importance of nutrition, specifically breakfast, in supporting their overall health. The session's comprehensive agenda included discussions on tuberculosis prevention, symptoms, and treatment. The students' active participation and engagement reflected their keen interest in health awareness and community involvement. This initiative reaffirms SKV's dedication to fostering health education, social responsibility, and community empowerment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bharathi Approaching Tomorrow Foundation (BATF)

 

CCAW, in collaboration with Bharati Approaching Tomorrow Foundation (BATF) conducted a 6-day Summer Camp with fun-filled activities including art and craft, dance, storytelling, poem recitation etc. It also arranged educational sessions like importance of career counselling, safe touch and unsafe touch. With a perfect blend of creativity and learning the program designed to engage and inspire participants of all ages, the workshop was a thrilling one.

 

 

 

 

Street Cause

 

CCAW in collaboration with Street Cause conducted a session on Good Touch, Bad Touch for the students at CIE experimental school. The sessions were conducted for the junior and senior section separately, based on their cognitive abilities. The sessions elicited brilliant response as many videos and interactive media were used make them aware of the sensitive topic for discussion.

 

 

 

 

Delhi Commission for Women

 

CCAW collaborated with Delhi Commission for Women to conduct a Gender sensitization and legal awareness session at CIE experimental basic school. It started with some ice breaking questions followed by educational discourse through the medium of a video highlighting Gender equality while addressing gender stereotypes and roles.

 

 

 

 

SPUWAC Delhi Police for Self Defense Training

 

The self-defence training session was organised with help of Delhi Police officer Mr. Shakti Singh. He and his colleagues regularly support Department of social Work and CCAW for organising self defence training for university students and CCAW. CCAW has also organized a 8 day self defense training session with Special Police Unit for Women and Children in SKV Timarpur.
